July 1961-May 1963 (Florida) Elaine Brockhouse Scrapbook, Pinecrest FL. One of a series of scrapbooks kept by Elaine Brockhouse, 91-year-old niece of William D. Pawley, who initiated the formation of the famous American volunteer group of airmen known as the Flying Tigers who supported China in World War II from an aircraft manufacturing and supply base he organized in India. He was a confidant of Presidents Truman and Eisenhower and U.S. ambassador to Peru and Brazil after World War II.
The scrapbook is 9 X 12 in. and very thick.
