Description
Sterling silver, vintage tea infuser, in the form of a tea pot. The piece measures 2 1/2" from the tip of the spout to the back of the handle, 2" from the bottom to the top point of the lid, and has an attached chain and ring measuring 4 1/2". The piece is marked sterling on the bottom, with the number 6284, and an emblem that probably identifies the maker, that I cannot readily make out. The piece has the normal multiple pierced holes of the entire body and lid for the tea flavor to flow through. The piece is a vintage piece and shows usage over the years, with a nice vintage patina, but not bent. The lid closure ring is still in place and functions well to close the lid. The only problem with the piece is on the lid at the center edge in front of the hinge. Here it shows a break through between a couple of the piercings and the seam where the lid was joined. No harm done to the function and the lid is still quite rigid as it should be. An attractive vintage piece if never used again, but still fully functional if usage is the plan.
