    Vintage Boy Scout Mess Kit
    1950s-1960s
    In Canvas Bag with BSA and crest
    DOES NOT have the frying skillet
    Otherwise good shape
    Canvas bag has Scout’s name written on it, is indistict.
    BSA crest button snap is still complete and not torn from canvas.
    Would be great way to complete a kit if you have the frying pan.
    For some reason the frying pan was the only part of the kit I used when I was in Scouts back in the later 19th century, didn’t use the other pieces and haven’t seen them for decades. I had a garage sale WW2/Korea mess kit that I preferred.
    I can’t find my frying pan (this set is not mine, came from house we cleaned out) or I would add it to this. Kids might’ve left it in a hole in the garden or up in a tree at the creek, hanging from a windmill on baling wire, there’s no telling.
